Paşaeli Kolorko

Kolorko variety is native to Şarköy – Tekirdağ on the European part of Turkey. Once a very famous variety, it was close to extinction about a decade ago. We have been re-planting the variety over the years in our own Hoşköy vineyard to save it for the future generations. We have turned the tide around and are now able to export it. Grown in a single vineyard at an altitude of 150 meters, it is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 18C and aged on its lees for 3 months to provide complexity. This is very pale gold, and the aroma is spicy, rich and inviting, but mineral/stony too. On the palate, deep and  fresh with intensity and length.
